Is Satan is directly responsible for people being atheists, going to wars, commit crimes, suicides, etc.?

Someone had this in an answer. That sounds like an awful condescending umption about what people believe or don't believe? Isn't it? Saying that our thoughts are influenced by absolute evil and comparing or lack of belief to war and suicide?
