Babysitting pay rate?

I think that is appropriate to charge $10 per hour to babysit one child even if you bring your own daughter with you. However, I have seen on Yahoo answers that some babysitters charge up to $50 per hour. Given that information, I think you should ask for a higher rate for baby sitting in Vermont. That is just my opinion.
