clubs used to be owned by local business men ie. loui edwards (man utd) peter swales(city) but as the game as "progressed" it as become a play ground for the mega rich to buy clubs in the short term great for the fans of those clubs but long term i feel these people will eventually lose interest and take up a new hobby leaving clubs stranded
