Why do devout christians preach to accept "gods' will" and then turn around and take fertility drugs?

I don't get it... all human beings are supposed to accept god's will but next think you know a devout christian hillbilly couble take fertility treatments, end up with a litter and say "praise god." Oh the twisted logic.
