What does right wing, left wing mean to YOU?

I don't know about you, but I'm sick and tired of people telling ME why I am right wing or left wing. I've heard it all before. I've had people on the right tell me I'm a left winger because I vote based on feelings instead of principles, all because I argued one .... ONE issue that wasn't supported by a majority of right wing people. I've also had people on the left tell me I'm a right winger because I vote based on inner psychological feelings that are anti-egalitarian, and all because I argued one ..... ONE issue that wasn't supported by a majority of left wing people. It's obvious to me that they're just spouting nonsense. No one can accurately just ume motive and write people off as all being the same if they're right wing or all the same if they're left wing, but it's still annoying. I have beliefs and principle not because of anything anyone else has pinned on me, but because I've looked at my reason and logic and I've challenged myself. Until you try to disprove your beliefs you can't be sure of them. I know what left wing and right wing mean to me. I'm interested in knowing what they mean to you.
