What is the strong smelling laundry detergent used by Mexicans?

I live in an area with a hispanic population comprised mostly of the Mexican community. I am recently pregnant and have a strong aversion to a detergent that seems to be primarily used by Mexicans. I have sniffed everything in my local grocery but cannot discover which detergent this is. Does anyone have any idea? It has a very strong smell.
