I hate spiders.!!!!!?

There was the spider who made a web at the foot of my bed. I killed it with a broom 8 hours ago, but i haven't been in my room since. It was a Daddy Longleg. I hit it with the broom about 10 times but i'm still hesitant about sleeping in my room. What else can i do? Just knowing it was that close to my bed makes me not want to sleep in there. How do i keep them out? My rooms pretty messy too. Should i keep it clean?
